The third Northeast Regional Planning Body meeting was held on Wednesday and Thursday, January 22-23, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge located at 575 Memorial Drive in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The purpose of this meeting was to review and approve principles, goals, and objectives for regional planning in the Northeast, and to move forward with related projects.
This meeting was originally scheduled for November 12-13, 2013, but was postponed due to the federal government shutdown. The meeting followed previous RPB discussions and extensive public comment and discussion.
At this meeting, the NE RPB revised and approved principles, goals, and objectives, and agreed to move forward with implementing projects and tasks to meet these objectives. These items are all included in a Framework Document (PDF) (33pp, 791K) that captures discussion points and revisions from the NE RPB meeting. This Framework includes a milestone schedule for future RPB decisions that will collectively form the regional ocean plan for the Northeast.
Additional products from this meeting include:
- Meeting materials for discussion
- Public comments received prior to, during, and after the meeting
- Meeting Summary
- Meeting Transcript
To help prepare for this next meeting, RPB members held three conference calls for updates and coordination. Summaries of these calls are available for the June 27th (PDF) (1pg, 336K), August 7th (PDF) (2pp, 402K), October 4th (PDF) (3pp, 472K), and November 13 (3pp, 110K) discussions.
